Founded in November 2000 the Music Competition Association of Russia now consolidates 103 competitions from 46 cities of Russia which is the overwhelming majority of the truly exhisting musical contests. The MCAR pinpoint is to structurize the music competition space in contemporary Russia as well as making common information sphere and structurazing the competition undustry. According to the above mentioned prospects the Association gas been planning its own activity.
The Association have been possessing stable advertizing space in the «Musical review» monthly newspaper. Every «MR» issue produces Association’s news as well as list of participants, dates of coppetitions and small print (phones addresses etc.). The Association Board foollows the competitions’ schedule as well as fixes the rules and results making the database available for the MCAR members.
Two annuals («Musical competitions 2002-2003» and «Musical competitions 2004-2005») had been issued and two conferences were held (in 2000, 2003).
The mutual advertizing system was carried out what mean associated competitions present Association’s activity and list of members in the booklets. Therefore the advertizing effect has been drastically multiplying.
